Help HWI build new raptor mews!

What are mews? The easy explanation is that a mew houses a raptor. The HawkWatch International office in Salt Lake City is home to three education raptors, a Swainson's Hawk, a Red-tailed Hawk, and an American Kestrel. (Meet Our Birds!) Each of them is permanently injured, rendering them flightless. The birds will live the rest of their lives under the watch of several bird care volunteers that tend to them daily. Currently, a few of the mews are starting to fall apart and are in need of some major repairs, and soon.

Learn about how you can help build new mews for the three education birds by downloading this brochure: HWI Can Use a Few New Raptor Mews

There are several ways you can support the building of these new mews: make an online donation to the Conservation Education program and type "New Mews" in the comment box or donate some of the items needed from the following supply list and estimate.

We need your help to build mews that have more light, more room, and are more comfortable for each of the raptors HWI houses.

Donate now and help us reach our $6,000 goal!
