School Programs

HawkWatch International has a unique way of getting students (and teachers) excited about math and science. We provide several resources that help classroom teachers reach students in innovative ways. Our program content relies heavily on the methods and results of our migration monitoring research, and correlates to standards of the appropriate state science, math, and reading core curriculum standards. TALONS Lesson Plans - Elementary (grades K-6)

Observation of Organisms: including characteristics, life cycles or study of organisms in an environment.

Our Changing World: including personal health, characteristics of change in a population, changes in environments, types of resources, and the use of science and technology to resolve local challenges.

Science Skills: including guided inquiries, measurement.
